Parent's Checklist

  • Are bicycle nuts and bolts tightened, especially on new parts, like the rack?
  • Does your child have proper clothes- rain gear, warm things, swimsuit?
  • Is the bicycle adjusted properly to your child? When sitting on the bike with the pedal in the down position, the child’s leg should be almost straight.
  • Can your child put up the tent that they are bringing?
  • Is their helmet adjusted properly so that it fits level on their head and is not too loose or too tight?
  • Are fishing hooks safely in containers?
  • Do they have a water bottle that is easily accessible while riding?
  • Do they have all the recommended gear?

  • More clothes than necessary (If the camper cannot lift one duffle bag of clothes, there is too much.)

  • Meals
  • Excessive snacks
