SUMMER PROGRAM

Trips

The following links will take you to a description of many of the trips that we take.

Unless otherwise noted, all trips begin and end at Webb Park in Reedsburg.

Mirror Lake State Park 6/19-6/21

Wazee 6/26-6/28

Exploring the South 7/9-7/12

Exploring the North
7/13-7/16

Mirror Lake State Park (June 19th-21st, $90.00)

Canoeing!

This is a 12-mile, mildly hilly ride on country roads from Reedsburg to Mirror Lake State Park. Mirror Lake has wonderfully large, circular group campsites with a large central campfire area. While at state park we will canoe, swim, hike, fish, and bike. Each day there are several times when campers are called together for decisions/instructions about activities that will be taking place. This is a good beginner trip.

Wazee Recreation Area (June 26th-28th, $90.00)

Lake Wazee is the clearest dand deepest lake in Wisconsin. It is an abandoned, reclaimed iron mine. We will swim & snorkel (bring your mask and snorkel) after biking the trails and back roads around this recreational area. Bikes will be trailered to our destination.

Exploring the South (July 9th-12th, $150.00)

A new trip this year! We will board a school bus in Reedsburg and then begin our biking somewhere near Madison on the Military Ridge Trail. We will spend the first night at Blue Mound State Park where there is hiking and a swimming pool. The next day we get back on the trail and bike to Governor Dodge State Park where we will spend two nights. At this park there are two lakes, a water fall and lots of trails. It is about 17-20 miles each biking day.

Exploring the North (July 23rd-27th, $220.00)

A revised experience! We will board a bus and travel to Interstate State Park, bike about 20-25 miles, board the bus again and camp that night at Amnicon State Park. Before going to bed we will have the opportunity of walking through falls and swimming in the gentle rapids of the warm Amnicon River. The next day we board the bus and travel to Brule Wisconsin where we will be able to canoe/kayak the pristine Brule River from Winneboujou to Hwy 2. From there we travel by bus to Copper Falls State Park where we can experience the falls. Our final trip will be to Bayfield where we will board a ferry that will take us to Madeline Island in Lake Superior where we can bike and swim for two days.
