WI River with Upham Woods

(Ages 14 - 17)

JUNE 17 - 19

This trip will be our first ever partnership with Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center. Their naturalist will guide our group on a 13-mile canoeing trip along the Lemonweir and WI Rivers. This epic 3-day, 2-night adventure begins at Upham Woods with safety training. Then, campers paddle the winding, scenic Lemonweir River until it reaches the majestic WI River. Our campsite the first night is at a campground up away from the river. On the second day we paddle all the way to Black Hawk Island, where there is a primitive campsite for the group to spend their second night.

Check out the beautiful route for this trip here.

Lake Wazee County Park

Campers will be transported to and from the park and set up their tents in two large group campsites, where the group will cook meals together over a campfire. Campers bring their bikes along to get around between the campsite and the hiking, swimming, fishing and boating areas of the park. There are even some bike trails!
